LupEND...WHEN?

It seems like Lupe Fiasco is focused on the opposite of most artists, that is being not in the spotlight. Lupe has already announced that his next album, LupEND, will be his last, now he is saying that it's on hold. Lupe wants to focus on the artists he has signed to his label 1st & 15th. "Matthew Santos, Sarah Green — I'm actually working on putting their records together, so I won't start working on my album until next year" he told MTV. [watch here]

"I gotta be CEO. It's my company, so I got to step back, because if I start doing my stuff and their stuff, I'd be like, 'Yo, why don't you come do this hook? Why don't you give me that song?' So I'm just trying not to be selfish." Lupe says he helps his artists by giving them experience, "I actually take them out on tour with me, let them perform, let them open up for me," he said. "Everything I do, I bring all my artists to do it. So I don't even give them advice as much as put them in an arena where it works, where it's real time. It's them, and they get a chance to see it in real life, and they take from it what they need."

André Benjamin NEW CLOTHING LINE

Ima huge Outkast fan and Andre 3k is working on his clothing line Benjamin Bixby!

Andre debuted his line of men's wear this past February at New York Fashion Week. Inspired by early Ivy League athletics, the collection includes plus fours (trousers associated with the golf attire of the late 1800s) and club sweaters with leather elbow patches. Different from clothing lines like Rocawear, Phat Farm, and Sean John, which ultimately target Hip Hop consumers, Benjamin Bixby seems to be designed for a whole other era.

"For an African-American guy to be a prep, that’s a dichotomy," Dre told the New York Times. "Prep style comes from mostly affluent families who just wear these cool clothes. But when you come from a background that has more struggle, your take on it will be different. There’s a certain kind of rebel to it."

Those who have been following "Three Stacks" since Outkast's debut album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, are accustomed to his distinct, eclectic, retro style. In fact, the reaction from young men has been strong, said Tom Kalenderian, the men's wear fashion director at Barney's where Benjamin Bixby will be displayed. "Though you are looking at plus fours and collegiate sweaters that remind you of the past, it is very current with today."

While the clothing line is different from what Hip Hop consumers are used to, Dre is still excited about the project.

"What I love are the possibilities," he said. "It’s the same thing in music and the same thing in acting and the same thing in fashion. If I want to play this person, I can become this person."

Andre's style was shaped as a teen in Atlanta where he often customized his clothes by dying his jeans all sorts of colors. His flair for eccentricity has been a catalyst for the creation of Benjamin Bixby.

Lil Wayne Working On Tha Carter IV, T-Wyane

After selling over 2.5 million copies of his highly anticipated Tha Carter III, Lil Wayne is already in the studio working on Tha Carter IV, in addition to a new mixtape.

The mixtape, Dedication 3, will be an addition to DJ Drama's Gangsta Grillz series which "you can expect real soon," Wayne said on his ESPN.com blog.

Wayne added that after Dedication 3 comes out, he will be re-releasing it "with 20 extra songs for free on my Web site."

It doesn't stop there, as Lil Wayne is collaborating with T-Pain for an album titled T-Wayne, to be released in 2009. "We've got three or four songs we've finished," said T-Pain to Billboard.com. "They don't really have titles. We're just doing music and however it comes out, it comes out."

Although Tha Carter IV doesn't have a release date attached to it, fans will be happy to know that Wayne is already in the studio, working on the album.
